Welcome to this site. All files relating to the audits of the various sections of the British Association of Urological Surgeons can be readily downloaded from here.
In recognition of the impact of Audit to
the Revalidation process, BAUS has developed a new on-line web-based database
for the collection of all the BAUS datasets, in conjunction with Nuvola, as a service
to its members. The system was launched at the Annual Meeting in
Glasgow in June 2009 and has commenced with the Section of Oncology register of
Newly Diagnosed tumours together with the Complex Procedures and new
Nephrectomy datasets. We
have imported all the historical data into the new system. Two new audits will
be launched on January 1st 2010 - PCNL and Suprapubic catheter insertion. You are encouraged to start entering your
data directly onto the new system as soon as possible.
We are aware that many trusts have their
own systems for collecting data and normally provide exports of these which are
then imported into the current database. In recognition of this we have
provided the facility for data to be imported in "bulk” format.
From January 1st 2010 the only
method for returning data (for
on-line audits) will be via the web-based program. No paper returns and
no extracts from the current access databases will be accepted. We will provide plenty of notice to members
as audits from other sections come on-line.
